Wife or children that are very concerned about insects snakes mice etc.
Tent getting holes in floor.
They say you can patch some bigger holes and i think it would be ok.
A hole in the floor won t impact the performance or integrity of the tent so personally i wouldn t hesitate to throw some tenacious tape on there and forget about it.
Cut a piece of repair tape to cover the hole and at least one inch of fabric surrounding it.
That can come in a tent without a sewn in floor.
Go inside the outdoor camping tent and trim the hole into a square or rectangle giving a 1 inch clip to the corners.
Turn those edges under pin into place and then stitch around the edge before adding a second line of stitching 1 4 inch in from that.
Patches can come with a built in adhesive or you may have to apply some glue to fix it to the tent floor.
If you have punctured a hole in your tent floor a patch may be the best option for repairing it.
On the exterior of the tent start by cleaning the area around the tear with rubbing alcohol and a rag.
Sewn in floor prevents mice coming inside the tent.
In either case make sure the tent floor is clean if there is dust or dirt on its surface it won t hold the patch.
To finish use seam sealer all around the outside patch.
I have used mcnett other brands include gear aid and stormsure seam grip to patch some little holes on my tent and i like the result.
Once dry the product is flexible and resistant.
